You can capture a specific area of the screen into an image by using the Box Area capture function.
Preparation for Capture
To use Box Area capture function, you should pop up the box area window first.
1) Prepare capture by the button.
- Select the “Image” tab on the Dr.Capture window.
- Press the “Box Area” button.
- Adjust the size and position of the box area window.
2) Prepare capture by the hot key. (default hot key ‘Ctrl + Shift + 3’)
- Press the ”Box Area” hot key.
- Adjust the size and position of the box area window.

Auto Framing
You can adjust the size of the box area window automatically by using the “Auto Framing” function when you want to record a specific program’s window.
- Click the gunsight icon of the box area window and drag the icon over the target window that you want to record.
- Drop the icon to the target window, then the box area window is automatically moved and resized.
- You can cancel “Auto Framing” by pressing the ESC key while dragging.
If the target window is too close to the edge of the monitor or out of the monitor, “Auto Framing” may not work.
Capture
You can capture “Box Area” in three ways.
1) Capture by the “Box Area” button of the Dr.Capture window.
- Select the “Image” tab of the Dr.Capture window.
- Click the ”Box Area” button after adjusting the box area window.
2) Capture by the “Capture” button of the box area window.
3) Capture by the hot key. (default hot key ‘Ctrl + Shift + 3’)
Closing the Box Area Window
You can close the box area window in two ways.
1) Click the “close” button of the box area window.
2) Press the capture-stop hot key. (default hot key ‘Ctrl + Shift + Alt + 0’)
Captured File
The Captured file is created in the format of
“Image Save Folder \ Capture Date \ BoxAreaSerialNumber.ImageFormat”.
Ex) C: \ Users \ SGKSoft \ Pictures \ DrCapture \ 2012-07-18 \ BoxArea0001.png

Image Format
You can save the image in various formats. (PNG, BMP, JPG, GIF)
You can set the format on the setup window. See here for more details.
Action After Capture
You can select one of followings for an action which be executed automatically after capture.
1) Open the captured file with MS Paint.
2) Open the folder which contains the recorded file with Explorer.
3) No action.
