You can install or uninstall Dr.Capture with reference to following instructions.
System Requirements
- Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1 and newer. (32-bit and 64-bit)
- 1 GB of RAM. (2 GB required for video capture)
- 30 MB of hard-disk space for program installation.
Note
We recommend to install Microsoft WIC(Windows Imaging Component) and K-lite codec too.
Dr.Capture can capture screen into a nonstandard resolution video. However, default codec of Windows cannot decode the nonstandard resolution video.
If you capture screen into a nonstandard resolution video, Windows Media player might not be able to play the video.
In this case, you have to install followings to solve this problem.
- Microsoft WIC(Windows Imaging Component): This makes it possible to preview the nonstandard resolution video with Explorer.(Free)
- K-lite codec: This free codec package contains the codec which can decode nonstandard resolution video.(Free)
How to install Dr.Capture
- Execute Dr.Capture install file.
- Read EULA(End User License Agreement) carefully.
- If you agree EULA, click on ‘Agree’ button for installation.
- Install Microsoft WIC. (recommend)
- install K-lite codec. (recommend)
How to uninstall Dr.Capture
You can uninstall Dr.Capture from ‘Programs’ of control panel of Windows.
1. Windows XP
- Open the control panel.
- Click ‘Add or Remove Programs’.
- Select ‘Dr.Capture’.
- Click ‘Remove’ button.
2. The Operating systems since Vista (Windows 7, 8, 8.1)
- Open the control panel.
- Click ‘Programs and Features’.
- Click ‘Uninstall a Program’.
- Select ‘Dr.Capture’.
- Click ‘Uninstall’ on the toolbar above.
